Operating Procedures/ Terms + Conditions
All engineers carry portable card payment machines with them to every job. Payments are to be made via Cash or Card directly to the engineer same day upon completion of works.
A 50% deposit will be required on any job that has a Total cost of £800 or more.The deposit will be required to be cleared funds before booking in/commencement of works and the final balance payable same day on satisfactory completion of works.
We charge a minimum of one hour on all jobs, thereafter work is charged in 15 minute increments. Rates exclude materials and are subject to VAT.
We carry out FREE ESTIMATES on jobs that we deem to be larger type jobs. Typically these are jobs which in our opinion will take a full day or more to carry out i.e Boiler Installations, Bathroom Installations, Central heating installations, Power flushes etc.
Estimates can be given for smaller jobs but they are chargeable in accordance with the hourly rate.
Fixed prices can be given if requested by the customer, either verbally or with a written quotation from the engineer before work commences and are subject to VAT.
Materials supplied by Inner City Plumbers LTD will be charged at Trade price plus 25% mark up and are subject to VAT.
Inner City Plumbers carry basic parts on the van but due to the scope and diversity of the Plumbing and Heating Industry its impossioble to have every part needed for any given job. On jobs, when necessary, time spent travelling to attain materials is chargeable at the hourly rate but is capped at 45 minutes, unless otherwise agreed with the customer
